Executive Summary

We live in an era in which power is rarely exercised in a direct manner. States no longer execute violence: they delegate it, outsource it, or hide it behind organized crime, faith, fear, or social chaos. In that moral vacuum, responsibility is diluted and impunity is normalized.

Los Asesinos del Presidente is born from that uncomfortable question: what happens when killing stops being a crime and becomes a government strategy?

Set in the fictional Republic of Santa Ana, the series explores a system where a political-religious elite uses the discourse of faith and patriotism to justify state crimes. To avoid public exposure, this elite resort to society’s worst monsters: manipulated serial killers, convinced they are fulfilling a divine and patriotic mission. Violence is not accidental; it is structural. Terror is not a side effect; it is a tool of control.

Detailed Synopsis

The Republic of Santa Ana is sinking into its worst social crisis. The misgovernment of Gustavo Albarrán has provoked a civil insurgency demanding his immediate resignation. Faced with the imminent fall of the regime, the country’s elites decide to abandon diplomacy to play a much darker game.

From the shadows emerges “The Allies,” a powerful clandestine organization composed of politicians, high church officials, businessmen, and social leaders. This sect does not seek the salvation of the country, but rather the protection of its own privileges. It is a fragile alliance, cemented in personal benefit and an absolute readiness for internal betrayal if that guarantees individual survival.

While the killers sow terror in the streets, the members of the sect watch each other. In this environment of paranoia, silence is bought, culprits are fabricated, and loyalty does not exist. Santa Ana is no longer just fighting an ineffective government but an elite willing to unleash the worst monsters in order to hold on to power.

Detailed Synopsis - clandestine meeting
Dark streets of Santa Ana

These dangerous serial killers believe they are fulfilling the will of God and their country, but when they discover the truth, they seek revenge on those who manipulated them. Ana Izaguirre, a researcher who unravels the psychological patterns of these killers’ behavior, launches a bloody crusade against “The Allies.” In a game of survival where no one is innocent, revenge is the only way to unmask the truth and destroy those who hide in the shadows.

What happens when these killers discover they have been deceived? What happens when the truth is more terrifying than the lie? Can there be justice above the State?

Content Strategy

The Assassins of the President is designed as a four-season saga with a long-term narrative arc. The structure allows for the expansion of the Republic of Santa Ana universe, transforming a survival thriller into an international conspiracy epic. This model ensures audience retention and maximizes the long-term value of the intellectual property.
